Throughout law school, Ian distinguished himself with his extensive involvement with the university’s moot teams. After placing second in the Younes & Espiner Intervarsity Criminal Law Moot, individually receiving a Best Speaker Award, he was drafted for the 2020 International Criminal Court Moot team. While the outbreak of Covid prevented his team from travelling to The Hague for the ICC oral competition, they still performed well on the written submissions.
